As you drive through the rural countryside, you’ll be immersed in the captivating landscapes of Ko Tu and Ta Oi villages, home to Vietnam’s indigenous ethnic groups. After a 2-hour drive, your first stop is Hamburger Hill (also known as 937 Hill), a significant site from the Vietnam War. Here, you’ll embark on a trek up the hill, climbing hundreds of steps to reach the summit, where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the former combat base, the airfield and the lush green forest that’s slowly recovering from the war. From the top, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of this iconic battlefield’s place in Vietnam’s history. Next, you’ll journey to Ashau Valley, another important landmark from the Vietnam War, before heading back to A Luoi town for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, your exploration continues with a scenic drive to Aka-Achi Village in A Roang. Prepare for a half-day trek through the lush A Roang forest, where you’ll discover a rich array of flora and fauna within this pristine primary forest. Along the way, you’ll learn about the area’s diverse ecosystem, as well as the local culture that thrives in harmony with nature. After your trek, unwind and rejuvenate at the A Roang Hot Spring, where the mineral-rich waters offer the perfect relaxation after your adventure. Later, check into your traditional homestay and enjoy an authentic dinner in a stilt house. As the evening sets in, immerse yourself in the heart of local culture with a traditional music performance, bringing the sounds and stories of the A Roang people to life. Spend the night surrounded by nature and local traditions in the cozy comfort of your homestay.
