- Palaces are the place where Nguyen Dynasty’s Emperor and royal family lived. These palaces are an important section of Hue Citadel including Can Thanh Palace-Emperor’s Residence, Khon Thai Palace-Queen’s Residence, Dien Tho Palace - Mother Queen’s Residence, Truong Sanh Palace - Grand Mother Queen’s Residence…Most of these constructions were completely destroyed by the wars happening in the past. Now, there are only some ruins in the Purple Forbidden City. Dien Tho Palace and Truong Sanh Palace are the buildings remaining relatively intact.

- Dien Tho Palace was built in 1804. It has a long roofed corridor system connected to the Emperor’s Residence for the Emperor visiting his mother fluently.
